Blizzard Warning

It’s been cold the last few days, the air is dry and but for a bit of wind, the weather hasn’t been too bad. However, there is a blizzard warning in effect for our area today, from noon Saturday to noon Sunday. We’re looking forward to 6-12inches of snow, maybe more, and winds gusting up to 60 mph. So this is what it’s all about….

Locals have been out raiding the grocery stores and stocking up on milk and bread, apparently toilet paper is the other big seller. We’ve no idea what this is going to mean for the next few days, but we laid in a stack of rented DVD’s, filled the fridge and pantry (and the toilet paper cupboard – when in Rome….) and are settling in for a totally new experience.

We’ll be able to sit in our lounge and see it all out the window. But if visibility gets down to zero (!) I guess we’ll not be seeing much at all, maybe not even the balcony railing! So yee-hah… bring it on and let’s see what this winter stuff is all about.
